Google returns its servers to China
    Jamaican Times
    Friday 30th July, 2010

Google's search engine has once again started working in China, where users had been temporarily blocked from accessing the site.

The China site now has all services running, apart from Gmail.

Google and China were unable to agree on censorship issues in the country earlier this year, with Google at one stage saying it would be prepared to leave the country.

In March Google moved its servers out of mainland China to Hong Kong, allowing some Chinese users to access the site without censorship blocks.

But earlier this month, Google renewed its license with the Chinese government without making any concessions regarding censorship.
