Argentina crush world champs Spain 4-1

Argentine football star Carlos Tevez laid on two goals and scored one as Argentina handed Spain its first loss since winning the 2010 South Africa World Cup, earning a dominant 4-1 win in a friendly trouncing in Buenos Aires.

Argentina took a comfortable lead and was in full control of the game after an early burst of two goals in three minutes.

Lionel Messi looked marginally offside before chipping brilliantly over Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina from a Tevez through ball.

Gonzalo Higuain scored the second goal from a narrow angle, again put through by Tevez.

Reina slipped trying to clear a back-pass from Alvaro Arbeloa just past the half-hour, which fell to Tevez and he scooped the ball into the net.

Fernando Llorente pulled one back for Spain from fellow sub Pedro's square ball with six minutes left, only for Sergio Aguero to head a stoppage-time fourth for Argentina, The Sun reports. (ANI)
